What is messy play?
Messy play involves children freely exploring different materials using their senses. There is no set aim or outcome to messy play so children are free to explore using their own ideas and imagination.
Why is messy play important?
At Pear Tree Mead we encourage messy play opportunities as much as possible.
Messy play is important because it allows children to be curious and explore different possibilities. It allows children to explore different materials fully. It is a great way for children to become involved with an activity and get to know their peers.
