Meet the Senior Leadership Team+

Mrs C. Peden - Headteacher

BA.Ed (Hons)

I  have worked at Pear Tree Mead for the last 16 years. I have worked in Reception and Year 3/4. I was Deputy Headteacher for 7 years and became the Headteacher in September 2014. I have been teaching for about 20 years and my passion is to help make a difference to children’s lives and education and help prepare them for their next steps. I enjoy working at PTM as I like to work with whole families and work together as a team. As part of my job as Headteacher I oversee the SLT, teachers and other staff as well as the day to day running of the school.   I am also on the governing body.  My role continues to be part of the Senior Leadership Support Team. I am the mental health and well-being lead in the school.

 

 

Mrs L. Davies - Deputy Headteacher

Hello, I am Mrs Davies

I have worked at Pear Tree Mead for 11 years and enjoyed every minute of it!

Some of you will know me as the Y6 teacher as I have taught there mostly throughout the years. In 2014 I became the Deputy Headteacher, working alongside Mrs Peden (Headteacher) and Mrs Arnould (Assistant Headteacher). I am hugely passionate about the direction in which the school is headed and enthusiastic about making PTM an exciting place for all the children to learn and thrive.  At Pear Tree Mead Academy we aim to ensure that all children strive to reach the branches of their future.

 

Mrs R. Arnould - Assistant Headteacher

I am Mrs Arnould. I am originally from Stoke-on-Trent, I am sure that you can tell from my accent! At home I have three beautiful daughters and I enjoy playing netball and other sports in my spare time.

I have been a teacher since 2004 and have enjoyed working at Pear Tree Mead since 2009. I started as Early Years leader, part of the senior leadership team, moved into KS1 and then into the Assistant Head Teacher role. I love my current role and endeavour to provide our school with the best opportunities and a supportive environment in order to thrive.

I adore my job and am passionate about enabling children to reach their potential whilst having a great time. I want all children at PTM to love and respect their school and the people in it.

Hello, I’m Sarah Martin.

Mrs L. Burland - Pre School Leader

Hello, my name is Mrs Burland.

I am the Preschool Leader and I also oversee the school’s Nuture Group.

I have been working at Pear Tree Mead since 2012. Working here is thoroughly enjoyable and very rewarding. I enjoy being part of a fantastic team, working to provide a safe and happy learning environment for the children.

I have an NVQ Level 2 in Early Years Care and Education, and a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification. In 2017 I completed my Level 2 in Understanding Autism. I have a First Aid qualification and a Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene qualification. I am currently doing a Level 4 qualification.

Mrs N. Tappenden - Pre-School Team

My name is Nicola Tappenden I started working at Pear Tree Mead in March 2015.

I have worked as a Teaching Assistant since I left school, I have a NVQ level 3 in Child Care and Education.

I have recently achieved the following qualification NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Specific Learning Difficulties.

It is lovely to see our 2 year olds having fun, learning new skills and watching their confidence grow.

 

Miss L. Oliver - Pre School Team and Nursery Teaching Assistant

Hello, I’ve been working in the nursery class at Pear Tree Mead Academy since April 2013.I support the children’s welfare needs such as potty training and settling in.I’ve previously worked for SureStart and various crèches and nurseries, and am very much enjoying working here at Pear Tree Mead Academy.

Miss L. Brown - Pre School Team

Since joining Pear Tree Mead in 2014, I have worked mainly in Reception and Key stage 1. For this school year I will be working in Saplings, the preschool and covering the KS1 playground as an MDA.

In 2016 I completed the Advance Level 3 Apprenticeship in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools. I then went on to complete the Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Autism in 2017.

Mrs H. Thomas - Early Years Teacher

Hi, my name is Mrs Thomas and I have worked at Pear Tree Mead for 5 years as a Reception Class teacher. This year I am moving to the Nursery and will be the teacher for Aspen Class.

In 1983 I graduated from the University of Wales with a Bed Honours degree and have worked extensively throughout Key Stage 1 and Early Years, with 7 of those years as a Nursery teacher.

I am really looking forward to getting to know your children and making their learning fun as they journey through their Nursery year.

Miss E. Butler - Reception Class Teacher

Hello, my name is Miss Butler and I am one of the Reception teachers.

In 2012 I graduated from university with a BA Honours Primary Education teaching degree. It is my 6th year teaching at Pear Tree Mead.  I love teaching, and I aim to be an enthusiastic teacher in your child’s classroom.

In Cedar Class we encourage and support all children to succeed. One of my main aims is to provide your children with exciting, dynamic and enjoyable lessons, and to promote their love of learning.

I have been hugely enjoy teaching Cedar class this year. They have been doing some brilliant learning and are doing really well.

Mrs K. McCombie - Early Years Teacher and PE Coordinator

I have been teaching at Pear tree Mead Academy since March 2011. I carried out my teacher training at London South bank University and I hold a level 3 qualification in Forest School.

Within my time at Pear Tree Mead Academy I have taught year 1, year 2 and reception. I have been subject lead for Geography and Design Technology. I am lead for Physical Education and Outdoor Learning across the school. I want children to get the opportunity to experience nature, make their own choices, take risks and develop at their own pace.

Mrs H. Leafe - Early Years Teacher

Welcome, my name is Mrs Leafe and since joining Pear Tree Mead Academy in March 2014 I have worked in the Nursery. However, this year I am happy to be part of the Reception team. Since Graduating with a B.Ed Honours Degree I have taught in many Primary schools and gained experience in Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key stage 2.

I am looking forward to the months ahead and hope to have a fantastic year with all the children in Beech Class.

Miss S. Bond - SKITT Trainee Teacher

My name is Sophie Bond and I am currently a School Centred Initial Teacher Training Student (SCITT) in Year 2. I studied Law at Anglia Ruskin University before applying to Essex Teacher Training to become a teacher.

I worked in an after-school club for a period of time, and recently spent a week in St Alban’s Catholic Academy observing and helping in classes to further my understanding and knowledge of how Primary Schools are forward thinking and successful.

I have a passion for learning and giving children the guidance they need to become thriving individuals. I am really enjoying my time in Juniper class, and I hope to continue this journey at Pear Tree Mead when I am a qualified teacher

Hello, my name is Miss Garip and I teach in Year 2 at Pear Tree Mead. I joined the team in 2019 as I relocated home and chose to begin a new journey at the school. I graduated from Middlesex University and completed my teacher training with the University of Buckingham.  I have been working in education for 10 years and I have been teaching my own class for 6 years.

 

I am passionate about teaching and helping young people grow,  both academically and as individuals. I hope to create an exciting and welcoming environment for my pupils to learn and enjoy their time at school. If you have any questions or queries, please feel free to approach me.

 

Miss U. Radomska - KS1 Teacher

Hello! My name is Miss Radomska. I am the Year 1 teacher in Fir Class. I graduated from The John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin in Poland with MA in English Language, Literature and Culture. I love working at Pear Tree Mead and very much enjoy being a part of a team.

Mrs L. Fry-Smith - KS1 Teacher

Hi, my name is Leah Fry-Smith and I teach year 2. I studied Psychology at Sussex University, worked in a special needs school and then as a support and development worker for Islington council before completing my PGCE at the University of East London.

I spent 2 years teaching in Leeds before moving back home to London, and teaching in Colchester.  I have been working at Pear Tree Mead since January 2018 and I absolutely love the school. I am currently science lead and I am extremely passionate about this subject. I really enjoy teaching year 2 and love supporting the children to develop and grow both in their academic abilities but also in their growth mind set. If there is anything I can do to help or support you and your child, then please come and speak to me.

Mrs L. Bolger - KS1 Teacher

I have been teaching at Pear Tree Mead Academy since September 2006, when I joined as a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT). I carried out my teacher training at the University of Plymouth, where I studied for four years and was awarded a BEd (Hons). Within my time at Pear Tree Mead I have been the subject leader for History, Geography, Religious Education and I am currently the subject leader for English.

In Elm Class we promote an excitement for learning and we encourage all the children to achieve their personal best. We have and impart confidence in each individual’s ability and give them a desire for success.

Mrs J. Gibbons - LKS2 Teacher

My name is Mrs Gibbons and I teach Lavender Class. I graduated from Middlesex University with a Bachelor of Education Honours degree. I have taught in a wide variety of primary schools and very much enjoy the privilege of teaching young people.

Mr D. Thurgood - LKS2 Teacher

Hello! My name is Mr Thurgood and I teach Pine class and am the phase leader for years 3 and 4.

I graduated from Coventry University with a BA Honours Sociology degree and then after a year out went on to study for my PGCE, starting my first teaching post in Basildon.

I recently moved to Harlow from Chelmsford and I have been working at Pear Tree Mead for just over a year. I have found the children an absolute pleasure to teach and the team have been very welcoming.

I aim to provide a varied and exciting learning environment in which children feel that they are safe to learn through hard work and trying new things.

I expect children to be honest, hardworking and to develop a growth mindset where they are not afraid to make mistakes and learn from them.

Miss G. Euesden - LKS2 Teacher

Hello! My name is Gemma Euesden. I have worked at Pear Tree Mead as a teaching assistant since 2012. I recently graduated from Anglia Ruskin University with a BA Honours in Education Studies and I’m thrilled to be staying at PTM for my first year of teaching.

In Mulberry Class, myself and Mrs Forsyth aim to provide an exciting and stimulating environment in which to support your child develop and grow academically, socially and emotionally.

I have a particular affinity towards children with Special Educational Needs and have spent the last 3 years of my career as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant. I feel this experience provides me with additional understanding of a childs’ individual needs.

Mrs M. Bruce - LKS2 Teacher

My name is Mrs Bruce, I started working at Pear Tree Mead in 2014 and am currently the year 4 teacher in Oak class, I graduated from university in 2013 with a BA honours degree in Education, I then went on to gain my PGCE in 2014.

In Oak class we aim to provide your children with lessons that are stimulating, challenging and exciting,

I aim to encourage the children to have high expectations of themselves. We work hard on their well-being so they can achieve their best and develop the skills they need to become well rounded individuals.

Mrs E. Cuffaro - LKS2 and UKS2 Teacher

I am Mrs Cuffaro, I started at PTM in September 2007 and have had the great opportunity to work in all phases across the school. During this time I have had the privilege to work with some fantastic children and members of staff. Mr M. Walker - UKS2 Teacher

My name is Mark Walker, this now my third year teaching at Pear Tree Mead Academy. Our class teaching assistant is Mrs Eels. Redwood class is an exciting environment where children are encouraged to engage in a cross curricular learning experience. High standards of English and Maths will be taught and expected from the children in our class. We encourage our pupils to read every night, without fail. You should find that, rather being worried about school, the children will be excited to learn in Redwood class. It has always been my aim to provide an environment in which learning is an exciting and enticing prospect, where the unexpected can create awe and wonder in the children.

Miss J. Warner - UKS2 Teacher

Hi, I am Miss Warner and this is my fourth year teaching here at Pear Tree Mead. I have taught in every year group in KS2 and am very excited to teach year 6 for the second year!  I am also Physical Education Lead for the school, alongside Mrs McCombie. I graduated from the University of Hertfordshire with a BSc Sports Studies degree and continued my studies by going onto study for my PGCE in primary education.

I was lucky enough to complete half of my teacher training at Pear Tree Mead and I am very excited to get to know your children and to work alongside a very supportive team of staff. I believe in a positive and engaging learning environment where children enjoy coming to school.

Miss C. Burke - UKS2 Teacher

Hi there! This is my sixth year teaching at Pear Tree Mead. Originally, I come from Ennis, Co. Clare, on the west coast of Ireland and I have now been living in the U.K for the past nine years. I originally trained in Ireland as a Modern Foreign Languages teacher (French, Spanish and Italian) and began teaching at primary level eight years ago.

As a teacher, I believe that every child matters and I encourage my pupils daily to have a ‘growth mind-set’ in order for them to become the best version of themselves, in a fun and engaging way. I have high expectations at all times but I also like to reward pupils, as much as possible, when I see them trying hard.

In the school, I am the Maths and MFL coordinator and I carry out singing assembly every Thursday morning for the whole school. I also run the ‘Young Voices’ singing club with the help of Mrs Chippett, which gives pupils the opportunity to grow in confidence and eventually perform at the O2 in London, later in the year.

This year, I am teaching Sycamore class with the support of Mrs. Julie Thorne, Miss Valerie Vvapury, Mrs. Sue Burke and Miss Euesdon.

 

Miss L. Saunders - UKS2 Teacher

Hi Everyone!

I’m Miss Saunders and I studied at Canterbury Christ Church University to complete my BA Hons in Primary Education and have been lucky to teach in many different year groups.

I am very excited to be part of such a wonderful team here at Pear Tree Mead. Mrs A. Payne - Nursery Teaching Assistant

Hello, my name is Mrs Payne and I started working at PTM in September 2013. I hold a level 3 diploma in specialist support for teaching and learning in schools and NCFE level 2 in understanding Autism. I am also trained in first aid.

Mrs Z. Nash - Nursery Teaching Assistant

Hi My name is Zoe Nash. I have worked at pear tree mead for almost five years now. I am a qualified TA and have worked in our nursery class for four and a half years. I also have qualifications in understanding autism and mental health. I love working with the children and I am looking forward to helping the new children settle in after the summer.

Mrs N. Stevens - Nursery Teaching Assistant

Hello my name is Mrs Stevens

I have 2 children, the oldest is at passmores and the youngest is currently at Ptm.

I have been working here since 2013 when I started out as a relief MDA, I am now currently a permanent MDA and I have just started working as a TA in nursery.

As well as the above I help run our breakfast club and the library after school.

I also help early years with swimming and run crèches for parent courses in school.

Mrs R. Newland - Nursery and Reception Teaching Assistant

Hi, my name is Mrs Newland. I started at PTM Nursery as an N.N.E.B. qualified Nursery Nurse in 1996. Prior to this I ran my own playgroup and then the local playgroup in Bush Fair. For the last six years I have been working full time in Reception. This year I am class TA/HTLA for both Nursery and Reception classes. I am proud to be part of the Early Years team, to be able support your child and give them those exciting new experiences at the beginning of their school life.

Miss H. Wright - Trainee Nursery Assistant

Hi, my name is Hayley Wright and I joined Pear Tree Mead in June of this year (2019). I am currently studying at college for my Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education, as part of an apprenticeship with PTM.

I attended PTM myself from nursery through to year 6 and it is great to now be back, as a member of staff.

I have worked with some lovely children in nursery so far and it will be amazing to see them grow throughout their time here at PTM.

Hi, I’m Miss Scafe. I have worked in childcare for almost ten years and have recently completed a degree at Anglia Ruskin University in Early Years, Playwork and Education. This is my first year at Pear Tree Mead and I will be based in Reception,  Cedar Class. I look forward to watching them develop and grow this year !

 

Miss C. Cracknell - Reception Teaching Assistant

Hi, my name is Chloe. This is my fourth year at Pear Tree Mead Academy as a teaching assistant. I am level 3 qualified in Early Years and young people’s workforce and have previous in a nursery and pre-school setting. I enjoy watching children learn and develop and I look forward to being part of their journey.

Mrs R. Newland - Nursery and Reception Teaching Assistant

Mrs D. Cooper - Reception Teaching Assistant

My name is Mrs Cooper.

I have been a member of staff at Pear Tree Mead for the last 10 years and currently work as a full time Teaching Assistant in Oak class, supporting children across the Reception classes. Prior to this I was volunteering for a few years.

I have worked across the school, but most of my years have been in Reception class, and is a year group that I enjoy being part of!

Alongside Mrs Reynolds,I run ‘Gymtrail’ to support children with their gross and fine motor skills.

I have attained a Lifeguard qualification to support children in our school.

I am interested in children’s social and emotional development and creating a stimulating learning environment

Hello my name’s Natalie Jones. This is my third year at Pear Tree Mead. I am level 3 qualified in childcare and early years, and also hold a SENCO qualification.

Hi my names Olivia White.

I have been working at Pear Tree Mead Academy since completing my level 2 Apprenticeship qualification in January 2018. I am currently doing my Level 3 apprenticeship qualification which has been amazing so far. I’ve recently been appointed as a KS1 TA, I started off as a volunteer at Pear Tree Mead helping out where and when I could.

I have now been given this fantastic opportunity to work with some amazing people, helping and encouraging our children to achieve their potential.

 

Mrs D. Clayton - KS1 Teaching Assistant

Hi, I have worked at PTM for over 8 years now but this year will be my first time working in year 1.
I am following many of the children I worked with last year in reception up to year 1, which I’m really looking forward to.
I hope to be able to continue helping the children to learn and flourish as the embark on their journey through year 1.

I have been working here for 25 years. I started work in the Nursery and have since worked with various age groups around the school. I am currently enjoying my role as interventions TA, working with a great team. I work along with the belief that every child matters and enjoy working with KS1.

I am the Teaching Assistant in Lavender Class.

 

I started at Pear Tree Mead Academy in March 2018.

 

I achieved my Teaching Assistant level 2&3 qualifications in 2017.

After completing my course, I also carried on my learning and gained my SEN qualifications. I enjoy every aspect of my role as class TA.

Hi,   I’m Emma Jackman.

I’ve been involved with Pear Tree Mead Academy since 2005, firstly as a parent where all three of my children have been through the Nursery and school.

I became a member of staff in 2013 and have enjoyed working in Reception, Nursery, year 3 and now year 4 and thoroughly enjoy working with the children and fantastic staff.

My name is Rebecca Doyle.

I have been working at Pear Tree Mead since April 2012

I started working here as a mid-day assistant whilst training to become a level 2 TA. I have worked within every year group of the school & have absolutely loved my time with the wonderful little people I have worked with, seeing the very core of their futures start from nursery right up to year 6. I have been lucky to watch them thrive socially & emotionally whilst on their educational journey.

I have recently started my new role as a level 3 interventions TA over seeing whole school interventions & working alongside year 3 & 4. This is something that I am extremely passionate about as It provides the opportunity to watch & teach children that may find learning difficult, I create a fun learning experience catered to individual needs to help their progression and confidence and above all enjoyment to learning.

My name is Mrs. Dodson. I have joined  Pear Tree Mead school  in January this year at reception class as 1 to 1 support assistant.
I had previous experience working at st.Luke’s  Catholic Academy where I started as a volunteer then as midday assistant and then as TA. During that period I  had experience working in reception class and also in classes  year group 1,2,3.
I love working with children, it’s a very rewarding job.

Hi, my name is Kirstie James. I’ve just joined Pear Tree Mead this September 2019. Before starting my journey here I was a at Milwards primary school and nursery. Over my 6 years working there I fell in love with education. Being a class TA, SEN TA, Speech and language TA and intervention TA I have a vast amount of experience and fully love my job. I then went to Kiddi Caru as a nursery assistant and SENCO lead,  I cant wait to start my journey here and help children on their journey of education.

Hi, I am Julie Thorne, I have worked at Pear Tree Mead School for 19 years across different year groups but I have been in Year 6 for the last 12 years now. I really enjoy being part of the team and working with the children to help them achieve their best. My other passion is PE where I’ve had the opportunity to take many children to sporting events – it is such an enjoyment to see their confidence develop and see how proud they are to represent the school.

Hi, I’m Paula Hayden and the Teaching Assistant here in Willow Class this year. I have been working here at Pear Tree Mead for 14 years. I am very lucky to have worked in most year groups during this time. I find working with our pupils very rewarding, it’s great to see them learn, develop and grow into confident, young citizens. Miss V. Vyapury - Intervention Teaching Assistant

Hi, I’m Valerie Vyapury and I have been working at Pear Tree Mead for the last 5 years. I have been a Teaching assistant for the last 13 years and I have mostly worked in Year 5 & 6.This year, I have completed my BA Honours at Anglia Ruskin university and I am now enjoying being a Trainee Teacher in Yew class. I really enjoyed being part of the learning journey of all the children.

Mrs J. Williams - Learning Mentor

Hello, my name is Julia Williams I have been working at Pear Tree Mead since 2000. My first role was as a MDA, supporting children during their lunch in the dining hall and within the playground environment.

I became a Teaching Assistant in 2001 and three years after that I trained to become a Higher Level Teaching Assistant. In this role I support classes by leading the teaching; I’ve had experience in teaching Nursery through to Year 6.

I’m also one of the three schools Learning Mentors working alongside the children in upper key stage 2. I do this by either working one on one or in small groups to help with their friendships, confidence and self-esteem and through activities in my learning mentoring role, I help support the students to find and enjoy a positive learning experience and environment.

Mr A. Prentice -

I have worked in sport for over 25 years, working with a variety of agencies. My sports life started in football with Leyton Orient where I worked as a community coach back in 1992. I then went to work for a number of other football clubs at community and Academy level.

In 2001, I became involved in disability sport and was appointed Head Coach for Epping Forest Sportability Club in 2005.

Since 2007, I have supported a number of Harlow Schools with their PE. I am passionate about sport and I am looking forward to supporting the children at sports competitions and extra-curricular clubs and after School Clubs.

 

Mr N. Mann - Specialist Teacher

Mrs K. McCombie - Early Years Teacher and PE Coordinator

I have been teaching at Pear tree Mead Academy since March 2011. I carried out my teacher training at London South bank University and I hold a level 3 qualification in Forest School.

Within my time at Pear Tree Mead Academy I have taught year 1, year 2 and reception. I have been subject lead for Geography and Design Technology. I am lead for Physical Education and Outdoor Learning across the school. I want children to get the opportunity to experience nature, make their own choices, take risks and develop at their own pace.

Meet the Administration Team+

Mrs K. Townsend - P.A. to the Headteacher, Attendance Officer & Clerk to the Governing Body

I am in my 9th year of working here at PTM, I really enjoy my job although it is a very busy role with always lots to do! As well as holding a Business and Administration qualification,  I am the manager for the front Reception and oversee attendance, admissions and pupil information aswell as making sure Mrs Peden is organised and has everything she needs everyday, to be a super organised Headteacher! As part of the Family Support Team , we have here at Pear Tree Mead, I would love if you felt you can always come in and see me if your child struggles to come to school or if you are not sure who to direct your problem too and I will try to help or point you in the right direction. In my “spare” time I am still committed to the school by providing a Clerking service to our Governing Body, I have to retain lots of legal and important information to being able to help the Governing Board be as effective as they can, being an Governor can be a rewarding role and would recommend that if this is of interest to anyone please do contact me to find out more.

My name is Mrs Gleed and I have worked at Pear Tree Mead Academy for 6 years. During my time at Pear Tree Mead I have gained my Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Diploma and I have recently moved from my position as School Receptionist to Head Receptionist/Administrative Support.

I really enjoy meeting and greeting visitors and showing them what a brilliant school we have. I also enjoy interacting with our parents and especially the children, who always make me smile.

Mr A. Innes - I.T. and Admin Support

Hi there, my name is Mr Innes and I have been working at PTM for three years.  I assist the Teaching staff in enabling the children to access school technology.  I also assist the I.T. coordinator, Mr Walker, in bringing the best technology we can to PTM which in turn, enhances the children’s learning.

Mrs P. Robinson - Administration Staff

I started as a volunteer in the nursery when my youngest son started and joined the school as a Teaching Assistant in Reception a year later. I have been lucky to have worked in every year group in the 13 years I have been here. I am now part of the Admin Team. It is great being part of a fantastic team.

Miss R. Bartlett - Family Liaison Officer, Deputy Safeguarding Lead & Family Support Team

My first year at PTM has flown past & Ive really enjoyed getting to know lots of the children & their families & settling into my role. Mrs L. Mitchell - Home School Support Officer

H, i I’m Linda Mitchell and I’ve been a Home School Liaison Officer for 6 years. I support 7 primary schools in Harlow working for Harlow Education Consortium. I started as a Learning Support Assistant in a local secondary school in 2005 and became a Learning Mentor three years later. I usually work with families at home and really enjoy meeting them and helping make a difference. I offer help and support around all aspects of parenting including boundaries, routines, and behaviour.

Mrs K. Thurgood - SENCO Assistant and Intervention Teaching Assistant

I joined Pear Tree Mead as a classroom TA in 2009 and have progressed to a level 3 T.A, when I began working as an intervention T.A and phase support for years 3 and 4.

I currently work alongside Mrs Martin as an Assistant SENDco. This role enables me to work closely with pupils, staff and families to support children with additional needs. I continue to run individual interventions for identified children and work closely with Mrs Cooper to run Gym trail.

I have previously been vice chair for the Friends of Pear Tree Mead committee and continue to support by being the school liaise. I get to work alongside a group of fantastic, dedicated parents helping to arrange exciting and fun activities for the children. The fundraising helps to provide extra opportunities and equipment that help enrich the education and experiences for all the children here, at Pear Tree Mead.

I enjoy being part of a fantastic team that strive to help the children here to develop and reach their full potential.

Hi, my name is Jodie Staples. I joined Pear Tree Mead as an MDA in June 2018. My main role is working in the hall, making sure all the students get their dinners, and helping with first aid when needed. I also work at Breakfast Club. I have 3 children. 2 of which attend Pear Tree Mead. The eldest is in high school. I really enjoy working in this school. Every day is different, with new challenges. I hope to remain working here for many years to come!

I have 2 children, the oldest is at passmores and the youngest is currently at Ptm.

I have been working here since 2013 when I started out as a relief MDA, I am now currently a permanent MDA and I have just started working as a TA in nursery.

As well as the above I help run our breakfast club and the library after school.

I also help early years with swimming and run crèches for parent courses in school.

Hi, my name is Clive Hawkins, and I am the Site Manager.

I left school in 1979 and completed an apprenticeship to become a

Electronic engineer .

In Oct 1998 I joined PTM and now close to completing my 21st year.

Within my time as site manager I have completed various courses to keep me up

to date with Health and safety & new practices etc .

My role as site manager is to oversee the day to day running of the school which I enjoy,

And also making it a safe environment for children and staff.

I am also in charge of a team of 7 cleaning staff.
